Our unmissable hikes in the Vend\u00e9e<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Want to go hiking in the Vend\u00e9e<\/strong> around the campsite at Puy du Fou at Lac de la Chausseli\u00e8re?<\/a> You are right! The Vend\u00e9e is home to many hiking trails<\/strong> that will allow you to discover our beautiful region from another angle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On foot, starting from our campsite in the Vend\u00e9e at La Guyonni\u00e8re<\/strong>, we have selected for you 4 hiking routes ranging from 10 to 25 km<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n 1 <\/div>\n

\n The hike de La Chausseli\u00e8re<\/span>\n <\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

This hiking trail<\/strong> is located in the commune of La Guyonni\u00e8re in Vend\u00e9e. This route ofapproximately 9.5 km represents an average of 2h30 of walking <\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is an ideal walk for the whole family<\/strong>, just follow the yellow marked route numbered 3 . The start is on the banks<\/strong> of the Chausseli\u00e8re lake and takes you through various villages: Le Rivage, La Saulnerie, La Grill\u00e8re and La Clairbaudi\u00e8re. You will also discover on the way the Lake of La Chausseli\u00e8re<\/strong> which extends over an area of 34 hectares and where you will be able to observe the typical fauna and flora<\/strong> of the Vend\u00e9e bocage. But also, the Bois Dauphin <\/strong>which extends over nearly 3 hectares and which is the place of predilection of the sessile oak<\/strong>, the chestnut tree and the cherry tree. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

\n The hike of Meslay<\/span>\n <\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

This circuit of Meslay excursion<\/strong> is a course ofapproximately 13 km which represents on average 3h15 of walk<\/strong>. This easy hike <\/strong>is easily done with the family. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The starting point is at the Place des Douves<\/strong> in La Guyonni\u00e8re and the route is marked out in yellow. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This path is rich in discoveries<\/strong>, indeed you will take full sight with the religious heritage of Meslay<\/strong>. Indeed, you will be able to observe the Abbey and the Chapel of Meslay built in 1867 by the abbot of Suyrot on the ruins of a medieval castle<\/strong>. You will not miss the Grotto of Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes <\/strong>built in 1876 as well as the Calvary of Father Montfort <\/strong>erected also by the Abbot of Suyrot.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/section>

\n The hike The Ponds<\/span>\n <\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

The hiking trail “Les Etangs”<\/strong> is located in the commune of Foussais-Payr\u00e9. During 3 hours of walking on a course of approximately 12 km. This route, very pleasant, goes along a dozen ponds<\/strong> and connects the Old Pouzauges to the wood of Cibreti\u00e8re. The departure of the circuit takes place on the banks of the Lake of Chausseli\u00e8re<\/strong>, very close to the camp-site. The itinerary of Les Etangs is marked in yellow<\/strong> and numbered 6.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/section>

\n 4 <\/div>\n

\n The hike Rivers and Abbey<\/span>\n <\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

This loop, starting from the place of the Town Hall of Montaigu<\/strong>, is a very touristy hike of 25 km which represents on average 6 hours of walking<\/strong>. The route is marked in yellow and is numbered 7<\/strong>. On the way, you will discover a very rich heritage such as the Montaigu dike<\/strong>, the Durivum, the Maison de la Rivi\u00e8re but also the Abbaye de Meslay. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to obtain more information on these various hikes, do not hesitate to ask for more information at the Tourist Office<\/strong> or at the reception of our camping Lac de la Chausseli\u00e8re.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/section>

\n Try hiking by scooter or bike <\/span>\n <\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Our establishment Flower Camping Lac de la Chausseli\u00e8re<\/strong> offers you the rental of electric scooters<\/strong> to go for a ride around the campsite from April to the end of September. The rental is open to all<\/strong>: customers and people outside the campsite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our electric scooters are easy to handle<\/strong>, fun and quiet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can also rent bicycles<\/strong> to ride around the paths around the Lac de la Chausseli\u00e8re. For more information, do not hesitate to stop at the reception of the campsite<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
